This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you visit jokconsultancy.com, contact us, book a service, create an account or purchase a product. Information we collect
We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, business or brand information, enquiry details, account and order information, booking details, marketing preferences, and technical information such as IP address, browser, device, referral source and website activity. Payment providers process card, bank or mobile-money details; JOK Consultancy normally receives transaction and payment-status information rather than full payment credentials.
How we use information
We use personal information to provide purchases through My Account → My Tools; create and secure customer accounts; process orders and payments; provide bookings and services; respond to enquiries; send receipts, access notices and service messages; prevent fraud and abuse; maintain and improve the website; measure website performance; meet legal obligations; and, where you have chosen it, send relevant JOK Consultancy updates.
Our reasons for processing
Depending on the activity, we process information to perform a contract with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate business interests such as security and service improvement, or act on your consent. You may withdraw consent for optional marketing at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Service providers
We may use service providers that support hosting, ecommerce, payment processing, email delivery, bookings, security and backups. These are currently Hostinger, WordPress, WooCommerce, Stripe, Paystack, Google Workspace, FluentSMTP and Cal.com. Providers may process information under their own privacy terms. If website analytics are introduced, this policy and the Cookie Notice will be updated before analytics are enabled.
International processing
Some providers may process information outside Ghana. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and appropriate contractual, organisational or technical safeguards.
Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including providing access, maintaining transaction and tax records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements and meeting legal obligations. We may retain minimal suppression records after an unsubscribe so that we respect the request.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information, including access controls, secure connections, restricted customer accounts, backups and reputable payment processors. No online service is completely risk-free, so customers should use a strong, unique password and keep account details confidential.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable Ghanaian law, you may ask to access or correct personal information, object to or restrict certain uses, withdraw consent, request deletion where appropriate, or complain about how information is handled. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where law or a valid business need requires it. You may also raise a concern with Ghana’s Data Protection Commission.
Children
The website and paid services are intended for adults and are not knowingly directed to children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us.
